EVK214 is a digital thermostat able to control compressor, defrost (by temperature-time) and evaporator fan; a fourth relay allows to manage one of the following users:
- cabinet light
- demisting heater
- auxiliary output
- compressor 2
- alarm output
- door heater
- evaporator valve
- defrost synchronisation.
The instrument is provided with two measure inputs both for PTC and NTC probes (cabinet probe and evaporator probe) and with one digital input (door switch); a fourth input can be set to work both as measure input (display probe or condenser probe) and as digital input (multipurpose).
Some configuration parameters allow to protect the compressor against overloads, to manage the defrost according to the requirments, to set the evaporator fan operation, etc.
The RTC (Real Time Clock) allows to program automatic changes of the working temperature (Energy Saving) and store up to 9 HACCP alarms (after which the latest overwrites the oldest) supplying information on:
- the critical value
- the date and the hours the alarm has arisen
- the alarm duration.
The HACCP alarms the instrument can store are:
- the lower temperature alarm
- the upper temperature alarm
- the door switch input alarm
- the power supply failure alarm.
Two communication ports (available by request) allow the communication with supervision systems (via TTL, with MODBUS communication protocol) or with the programming key EVKEY (the first one) and with the remote display EVT100 (the second one).
EVK214 frontal size is 75 x 33.5 mm (W x H) and has been studied for panel mounting.
