EVK614 is a digital controller for retarder-prover cabinets and rooms management.
The instrument has got:
- real time clock
- alarm buzzer
- 2 analog inputs (cabinet probe and evaporator probe) for PTC/NTC probes
- 2 digital inputs (door switch and thermal switch)
- 4 digital outputs (electromechanical relays) of which one 16 res. A @ 250 VAC relay for compressor management and three 8 res. A @ 250 VAC relays for humidifier, evaporator fan and heater management; the defrost is allowed by stopping the compressor
- serial port with MODBUS communication protocol.
The device can manage:
- retardering-provering automatic cycles
- heating manual cycles
- cooling manual cycles.
Each automatic cycle is made of:
- a retardering-provering phase
- a storing phase
- an awakening phase
- a provering phase
- a slowing down phase.
For each phase, if it is meaningful, it is possible to set the working temperature, the percentage of relative humidity and the duration.
At the end of a phase the controller automatically moves to the following one; through the real time clock it is possible to set the time and the date for the end of the provering phase (the duration of the storing phase automatically adjusts itself to the one of the other phases, in consideration of the time and the date for the end of the provering phase; the slowing down phase lasts as long as the cycle is stopped manually).
The device looks in standard case 74 x 32 mm (2.952 x 1.299 in); the user interface is made of a 4 digits custom display (with decimal point and function icons) and 4 buttons (set, up, down and start).
Installation is by panel, with the click brackets supplied by the builder.
Through the programming key EVKEY (to order separately) it is possible to make the upload and the download of the configuration parameters.
Through a serial interface (to order separately) it is also possible to connect the controller to the graphic synoptic EVC25T00X7X00 (to order separately, to show the process status in easy and direct way) or to the set-up software system Parameters Manager or to the plants monitoring and supervision one RICS (via TTL, with MODBUS communication protocol).
Among the several features one also highlights:
- frontal protection degree IP65
- availability both of models with screw terminal block and models with extractable spring terminal block
- port for the communication with the remote indicator EVT100 (by request)
- defrost interval storing
- temperature alarm management.
